Frugal Sportsman TV Show

I am pleased to announce we will be filming the Pilot Episode for “The Frugal Sportsman” on Friday, November 16th, 2012.

The Frugal Sportsman will air on ComCast channel 99 beginning in January, 2013.  Our goal is to be your destination for the best in outdoor information.  We will focus on bringing you the information you need to make the best decision on everything outdoors.  Our motto, “Frugal does NOT mean cheap”, is our driving force.  For example, there are 2 similar items, the first costs $25, the second $100.  At first glance, the $25 item seams to be the best buy, but, if the $100 item lasts 6 times longer, THAT item is the frugal item.

Each show will feature a segment conducted by Dr. Darrell Macias highlighting emergency first aide for mishaps in the field.  Along with being an Emergency Room physician in a major University Teaching Hospital, Dr. Macias teaches seminars on emergency first aide in the field the world over.  Each week his segment will focus on a different scenario you may be faced with in the outdoors.

We will also interview various experts in their field.  We will cover all aspects of the outdoors, not just hunting and fishing, but camping, hiking, running, treasure detecting, and anything else you can imagine. We will discuss the pro and cons of of equipment, clothing and activities so you can make the frugal buying decision.

Be sure to check back often as we will be updating this site on a consistent basis.

First up will be a bi-weekly Podcast talking about Paranormal experiences people have had.  The Podcast will focus on New Mexico and southwest occurrences, but will expand to “sightings” throughout the Country in the near future.

The second project will be a Reality TV series focused on actual investigations.  This show will strive to engage the viewing audience in their own experiences by interviewing, investigating and informing the public on fact based research for each investigation.

The third project will be an anthology series where they will create a half hour show designed to make the viewer ask themselves if they believe in the paranormal.

Stay tuned for further information.

Also on this Saturday, August 4th, 2012, we are holding auditions for the “F.O.R.M.” trailer, a story by Louis Santoscoy.  Then we will be filming Saturday and Sunday, September 8th and 9th, 2012.  Donation information for “F.O.R.M.” can be found on http://www.indiegogo.com/FORM?a=58723.

Then we are looking to re-shoot “TIO GABINO” on the weekend of September 15th and 16th, 2012!

On top of this, we are working on a new Television series dealing with the paranormal.  The anthology will be in the style of the old ”TWILIGHT ZONE” and “NIGHT GALLERY” TV shows.

Finally, we are creating ANOTHER TV series, tentatively title “THE FRUGAL SPORTSMAN”.  It will focus on information sportsmen and women need to make informed decisions regarding equipment, clothing and destinations.

So, till next time, “Back To One!”

That means sometimes our material doesn’t meet our standards.  That is the case with our trailer for the short, ”TIO GABINO”.  The footage looked fantastic when I reviewed it “in the raw”, but when we put it together, it looks good, but not great.

For this reason, I am not releasing it at this time.  I am going to talk with my team and schedule a reshoot, most likely in September, 2012.  This film will be completed, so keep watching this space for updates.  Also, please consider contributing, all funds will go towards the production costs.

Till next week, “Back – to – One”!
